A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Floyd, Polk, Bartow and Cherokee County, Alabama until 1:00am

A strong storm system will move out of the plains and into the Tennessee valley late today allowing for a cold front to push into the region this evening through tonight.

Ahead of this feature will be a squall line featuring showers with scattered embedded thunderstorms.

Some storms could be strong to severe…especially over portions of NW Georgia.

There is a high confidence on seeing scattered strong storms, medium confidence on severe storms and low confidence on the development of tornadoes.
