Mrs. Peggy Silvers Winters passed away after a brief illness on Friday of last week.  Mrs. Winters was the wife of retired businessman Ronnie Winters and the mother of former Commissioner Jason Winters and his sister Kristi Winters Beach.  She was a graduate of Trion High School and a retired hairdresser.  Mrs. Winters was known for her smile and kind words to everyone she met.  She was a member of the Oak Hill Methodist Church, the Summerville Victorian Christmas Guild, Chattooga County Schools Reading Buddies Program, and was a dog fosterer with the Animal Advocates of Chattooga County.  Her love of the elderly, children, and animals was widely known and felt.  Mrs. Winters will be laid to rest Sunday at Oak Hill Methodist Church.  WZQZ extends our deepest sympathies to the Winters family at this time.  (See complete obituary from Mason Funeral Home HERE)
