Mr. Dollar served as GFB president from December 1994 until December 2006. He was first elected to the GFB Board of Directors as a GFB 9th District director in 1988 and later served as the GFB South Georgia vice president . He was designated GFB 1st vice president in 1992. Mr. Dollar was a cotton, peanut and timber farmer from Thomas County. He served as the Thomas County Farm Bureau president from 1987-1996 and from 2007-2017.

He also proudly served as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
