Over a week ago Charles Stewart, the former CEO of Hutcheson Medical Center, resigned his position amid reports that the hospital was loosing millions of dollars. Stewart was criticized for taking a huge salary from the hospital. Now the Chattanooga TImes-Free Press has obtained documents that show the former CEO received a severance package totaling $325,000. According to the report Stewart will receive the money divided in monthly installments over the next year. Hutcheson Medical Center is currently in negotiations with Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga to form a partnership.
