Dear Citizens of Lyerly:

It is with great sadness that I announce my resignation as Mayor of Lyerly. I appreciate the support I received throughout my term. The experience of being your Mayor has been fulfilling and rewarding. It has also been tumultuous and spirit-breaking due to constant belittling and berating, all of which was unnecessary.

The lack of concern for the town’s audit findings and corrective action plan has also been a factor in my resignation.

My resignation shall be effective as of noon on the date of this letter.

It has been my pleasure to serve you. I wish the Town of Lyerly prosperity and all the best in future endeavors.
