The Former Trion City School Nutrition Director was arrested last week on charges of felony theft by the Trion Police Department.
Last week, Trion City School Superintendent contacted the Trion Police Department regarding an ongoing issue with Dieni Montgomery, of Plainville Ga. Montgomery had been fired as the Trion School Nutrition Director back in November of 2020. Since then Superintendent Phil Williams had been in contact with Dieni regarding some items she had that belonged to the School System. Initially responding to the emails and texts with excuses, Montgomery stopped answering all correspondence from Superintendent Williams. The matter was then turned over to Trion Police Department where Chief David Gilleland also contacted Mrs. Montgomery to retrieve the items and was met with several excuses. After this, the case was turned over to Investigator Dexter Blackmon. The items missing taken were a laptop valued at $2,000, iPad, Deposit slips, Revenue Reports, Inventory reports, Fiscal Yr 20-21 invoices, Free and Reduced Lunch Forms, and the school Walmart Card. Mrs. Montgomery was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail on January 21st.
