A former Trion Middle School science teacher and school principal has been named the Executive Director of Student Services for the Floyd County School System.  Floyd County School Superintendent Dr. Glenn White made the announcement last week that Scott Crabbe would be stepping into the new role and will be overseeing student support services throughout the Floyd County School District.

Crabbe, a native of Floyd County  obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Georgia and then began his career as a special education teacher at Model High School in 1997.  After his successful tenure as a special education teacher, Crabbe transitioned to teaching science at both Trion and Model Middle. During this time, Crabbe earned both a master’s degree from Jacksonville State University and a specialist degree from the University of Alabama.

In 2006, Crabbe became an assistant principal with Trion City Schools and was a principal from 2010 to 2021.  Since that time, he has been working in administration for Rome City Schools.
