A Trion woman reported a case of credit card fraud to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday of last week.  The complainant said that she discovered someone had used her social security number to open a credit card account.  The woman contacted the credit card company and they said that they would need a report from the sheriff’s office to stop the credit card application.  The responding deputy advised the woman that a report would be filed and also gave her information on how to lock her credit to prevent any further fraud.
