The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Georgia has issued a freeze warning for Chattooga County and all of Northwest Georgia tonight and into Tuesday morning.  Also, there is a freeze watch in affect for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.  The coldest temperatures of the season are expected overnight tonight as temperatures in our area will dip down below freezing.  The low temperatures will mean we will likely have the first heavy frost of the season.  Take steps now to protect sensitive vegetation and to make sure that any exposed outdoor water pipes or hoses do not freeze.  You can see the freeze warning bulletin from the National Weather Service below:
