Both of our Chattooga County football teams brought home impressive wins last night, and the games had nearly the same final scores.

The Trion Bulldogs hit the road for Chickamauga to take on their long-time rivals, the Gordon Lee Trojans. They gave 6 points to the Trojans in the first quarter, but accumulated a slew of touchdowns in the middle half, and picked up 3 extra points from a field goal in the last quarter. The final score was 37-19 Trion.

Chattooga hosted the Dade County Wolverines at Little Bighorn Stadium and won the game mostly on the merits of the second quarter, when Chattooga scored 20 points and Dade none. That game finished 34-17.

AM 1180’s broadcast of the Trion game was plagued with technical difficulties for much of the night, and we unfortunately will not be able to rebroadcast the game this afternoon at 1. We are working to improve our technology and practices to prevent this from happening again. Nevertheless, we will bring you the replay of the Chattooga-Dade game at that time following the noon newscast. Great job to the Indians and Bulldogs!
