The Peppermint Project is a new Holiday event at James H. Sloppy Floyd State Park featuring the story “The Woodland Elves of the Peppermint Cave” written by Nell Farrar, a member of the Friends of Sloppy Floyd.

The event is taking place at the state park on Saturday, December 10th.

Area residents are being invited to bring the family to see the Woodland Elves as they make their final trail run for the season from the Peppermint Cave with candy canes for everyone. Santa Claus will be making a stop between 4 PM and 6 PM during the event and children will be able to have their pictures made with Santa.

Remember a $5 per car state park, parking pass is required.  The Chattooga County Library in Summerville and Trion have a limited number of free park passes that can be checked out and can be used during the event.
