A Fort Oglethorpe City Councilman died after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving. Eddie Stinnett lost control of his vehicle early Wednesday morning on Battlefield Parkway and hit another car. The wreck happened less than 24-hours after Stinnett and three other Fort Oglethorpe council members voted to oust fellow councilman Charles Sharrock. That vote followed an emotional four-hour hearing Tuesday on sexual harassment charges against Sharrock.
