Police have arrested 39 year old Ty Darrell Smith of Ft Payne on charges of the production of pornography involving minors and making a terrorist threat.

Police say the victim is a 16-year-old female and told them she received text messages from Smith relating to sexual favors. Smith allegedly made threats to the victim, that if she would not cooperate with him, he would harm her family – including the family pet.

The investigation is on-going with additional charges possibly forthcoming.
