Funeral services will be held today for Martha Alice Teague Owen today in Rainsville, Alabama.  Mrs. Owen is the mother of founding member of the country music group Alabama’s Randy Owen.

The service will be held at Rainsville Community Church in Rainsville, Alabama.

Mrs. Owen passed away on Thursday morning following a short illness and surrounded by family, the band announced Thursday night. She was 90.

Alabama postponed two scheduled shows this weekend in Virginia and North Carolina.

Mrs. Owen was the sister of Betty Teague Young of Lyerly and the late Charles Teague who lived in Lyerly.
