Funeral plans were announced on Tuesday for eight-year-old Sara Elizabeth English who died in a Walker County car accident last week.

English has family ties to Chattooga County and the obituary lists her residence as being Signal Mountain, Tennessee and Lyerly, Georgia.

Cody A. Gann, age 29, has been officially charged by the Georgia State Patrol with serious injury by vehicle, DUI drugs – driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane change, failure to maintain lane, driving wrong side of the road, failure to exercise due care when using cell phone/radio, and homicide by vehicle 1st degree in connection with the accident that claimed the girl’s life.
