Holiday weekend travel is always tough due to congestion, but construction shouldn’t be a problem Memorial Day weekend. The Georgia Department of Transportation suspended construction-related lane closures starting at 5 a.m. Friday and will continue to do so until 10 p.m. Monday. Lanes will be closed for accidents and emergencies, when necessary.
