Family members and concerned citizens from around Cherokee County, are conducting a tee-shirt fundraiser for four year old Noah Weaver, a pre-k student at Gaylesville School.
Noah was diagnosed with Leukemia approximately two weeks ago – and, he came home from the hospital last Saturday (February 19th 2011). Noah is currently undergoing treatment on an almost daily basis in Birmingham and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Leukemia is a type of cancer of the blood or bone marrow, characterized by an abnormal increase of white blood cells.
An estimated 250,000 plus children and adults in the United States suffer from the disease.
Leukemia typically strikes ten times more adults than children under the age of 14, accounting for about 31% of all cancers in children within that age range.
