The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is alerting motorists to a scheduled lane and shoulder closure on Interstate 75 Southbound this Wednesday, October 8, as maintenance crews conduct essential shoulder repairs.

Drivers traveling through the affected corridor should prepare for potential delays throughout the daylight hours.

Details of the Closure

Weather permitting, GDOT maintenance crews will be closing the right southbound lane and the adjacent shoulder of I-75 to perform necessary structural repairs to the shoulder area.

The work is scheduled to take place during the following times:

• WHEN: Wednesday, October 8, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
• WHERE: I-75 Southbound, spanning the area between milepost 287 and milepost 286.

The closure is specifically timed to occur after the morning peak commute but will impact afternoon and early evening traffic as the traveling lanes are reduced.
