The Georgia Department of Education has launched a CTAE Advantage Dashboard to provide accessible and clear data on Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) at state and district levels, as announced by State School Superintendent Richard Woods. The dashboard highlights the positive effects of Georgia’s CTAE programs on literacy, graduation, and postsecondary placement rates.

Governor Brian Kemp stated that this tool will help connect students and families with available opportunities and support the goal of making Georgia the best state for talent by promoting in-demand careers. Superintendent Woods emphasized that the dashboard will help educators, parents, and stakeholders access important data that shows the benefits and successes of CTAE programs, which enhance academic achievement and provide real-world experiences.

Georgia students focusing on CTAE have a graduation rate 22% higher and a postsecondary placement rate 23% higher than those who do not participate in CTAE. Over 29,000 students engage in Work-based Learning (WBL), earning more than $121 million while gaining practical experience. Dr. Barbara Wall, State CTAE Director, noted that these programs are essential for developing a skilled workforce and supporting the state’s economic growth.

The Office of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education aims to prepare K-12 students for post-high school careers, offering skills training in over 144 Career Pathways, recognized industry credentials, and practical learning experiences, leading to graduation rates above 97% for CTAE Pathway completers.
