The Georgia Department of Public Health released its weekly COVID update on Monday.

This weeks updates still sees Chattooga County in the Red Zone for COVID. Chattooga County has a 20.6%, % Positivity in the current 14 7 days. The county has performed 787 tests in the past 14 days. Georgia has 103 counties in the Red Zone, and in the Northwest Georgia area Floyd, Bartow, Polk, Walker, and Gordon counties are as well.

Drive-up test sites are open this week, but will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Chattooga County no longer has a free, drive-up site. Free testing is still available at the Health Department by appointment and for those with symptoms.
