Georgia Masons Grandmaster Michael Kessler presented a check to the Chattooga Chamber Foundation for Chattooga Flood Relief on Sunday of this week. The ceremony took place at the Chattooga Civic Center in Summerville.

The funds will be used to continue to help eligible families affected by Labor Weekend flood. The Chamber Foundation teamed up with the Chattooga GICH Team to review and distribute residential flood relief grants. To date, over $35,000 in private donations has been awarded to residents and over $26,000 has been awarded to businesses who applied for relief.

This recent injection of $5,000 will give the grant committee the ability to help up to five more families who had not previously been awarded.
