Georgia is in the top ten of states with mortgages in foreclosure or delinquent with about 14% having problems.

Florida leads the country with 23% of its mortgages in some kind of problem and almost 15% in foreclosure.

Roughly 10% of Georgia mortgages are over 30 days late.

The good news is that several southern states always seem to have an elevated percentage of mortgage loans 30+ day delinquent (Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, and Louisiana). Most of those borrowers will eventually catch up.
