Georgia is among seven states with the worst outbreak of respiratory illness. RSV, COVID, and the flu are all circulating at very high levels across the state.

The Atlanta-based CDC says Georgia is among 7 other states with the highest levels of flu activity. And numbers are expected to rise after holiday gatherings and travel. The state is also reporting a higher level of flu illnesses this year compared to the same time over the past three years.

COVID hospitalizations are also up, but lower than previous holiday seasons.

Health officials recommend staying home if you have symptoms including a fever, cough, or sore throat.
