A Cedartown, Georgia man was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center Friday, accused of sexually abusing a child.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website, 25-year old Charles Edward McBurnett was taken into custody Friday evening.

McBurnett is charged with one count of Sexually Abusing a Child under the age of 12.

He remains jailed with bond set at $75,000.
