
A Northwest Georgia man was arrested in neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama during a traffic stop after deputies determined he had outstanding warrants.
DeKalb County deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on County Road 52 near the Peak’s Corner Community after a vehicle was observed driving erratically while passing utility workers when the suspect initially attempted to flee. The vehicle would come to a stop a short distance away on County Road 50.
The driver, Dakota Hartline (29 of Chickamauga, Georgia) was found to have outstanding warrants with Walker County, Georgia for Burglary, 1st Degree (x4), Burglary 2nd Degree, Financial Transaction Card Theft and Forgery 4th Degree, and Entering an Automobile.
Hartline was booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center and awaits extradition to Georgia.
