The first day of what is now the largest college in Northwest Georgia was yesterday.  Workers removed the old "Northwestern Technical College" sign from the Rock Spring campus yesterday and put up a new "Georgia Northwestern Technical College" sign.

The school is the combination of the old Northwestern and Coosa Valley Tech.  The newly merged college is expected to serve around 16,000 students each year in Northwest Georgia.
