Georgia Power is currently offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in theft of copper from the company. According to Georgia Power, someone stole more than 1,875 feet of copper neutral wire from a Cave Spring site; 1,650 feet of copper neutral wire from an eastern Floyd County site; and 3,360 feet of copper neutral wire from a site west of Rome, all in the last month. Georgia Power is asking for details such as a car’s tag number or a physical description of someone seen stealing copper. Anyone with such information is urged to call 1-877-732-8717.
