Finding teaching jobs in Georgia will soon become easier as the Georgia Department of Education prepares to launch an enhanced statewide educator job board in January 2027.
The Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Professional Standards Commission are partnering to develop the new system through a collaboration between TeachGeorgia and Teach in the Peach.
The updated job board will provide a centralized location where teachers and other education professionals can search for employment opportunities throughout Georgia.
Job seekers will be able to search for available positions by location and receive alerts when openings matching their interests become available.
The system is also designed to help school districts recruit qualified educators by reaching a larger pool of potential applicants while reducing duplicate administrative work.
The new platform could benefit school systems across Northwest Georgia, including Chattooga County Schools and Trion City Schools, by making their available teaching positions easier for prospective employees to find.
State education officials say the improved job board is part of an effort to simplify the hiring process and better connect educators with employment opportunities throughout Georgia.
The enhanced statewide system is scheduled to launch in January 2027.
