Georgia voters will have the opportunity to support an ad valorem tax exemption for equipment used in reforestation, harvesting and production.

For many decades, the owners of agricultural and farm equipment have been exempt from paying sales tax.  This referendum would allow that same exemption to be extended to forestry equipment owners on the purchases of new and used equipment.

The Georgia Forestry Association shared an informational video at the recent Ag Issues Summit that was held in Perry, Georgia this past week.
