Hundreds of Georgia Highlands College graduates will gather on May 15 in Rome to celebrate their college degrees. GHC will hold three events at the Floyd Campus gym, located at 3175 Cedartown Hwy, Rome GA 30161. Ceremonies will occur at 10:30 AM and 6:30 PM, with a Nursing pinning and commencement ceremony at 2:30 PM. Attendance is limited to graduates and four guests per graduate due to limited seating. GHC ID and/or guest passes are needed to enter the venue. For those unable to attend in person, livestreams will be available on the GHC website and social media channels.

The featured speakers for this year include Anat Sultan-Dadon, Dr. Craig McDaniel, and Guy Taff. Anat Sultan-Dadon has been the Consul General of Israel to the Southeastern United States since 2019 and has a diverse background in various diplomatic roles. She holds a B. A. in Psychology and Education and a master’s degree in Criminology and is responsible for enhancing relations between Israel and several southeastern states.

Dr. Craig McDaniel is a long-time educator with a notable career in technical education, having served as president of Georgia Northwestern Technical College for fifteen years. He has degrees from multiple institutions and has held leadership roles in various organizations in the Rome community.

Guy Taff, originally from Georgia and raised in Italy, has extensive experience in real estate and currently serves as Executive Vice President of Tilley Properties, Inc. He purchased his first investment property while a student and has held various roles in his company over three decades. He is an active community member.
