Georgia Northwestern Technical College announced that they now have openings for new students in the Adult Education program for the spring quarter. Adults who need instruction in basic academic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics or preparation for the General Educational Development Test for a high school equivalency diploma are invited to register for the upcoming quarter. English as a Second Language classes are also available.
Morning, afternoon, and evening classes are available. New students will participate in an orientation/assessment session to learn about program requirements and determine a program of study which meets their individual needs. Students must be 18 years of age and officially withdrawn from school. Those who are 16 or 17 years old should ask about requirements for Underage Youth.
Adults who are interested in the spring quarter classes should note the following schedule for registration:
- North Campuses:
- Catoosa County: March 14th at 8:00 a.m. for day classes and March 14th and 15th at 5:30 p.m. for evening classes
- Chattooga County: March 14th at 9:00 a.m. for day classes and March 14th and 15th at 5:00 p.m. for evening classes
- Walker County: March 14th at 8:30 a.m. for day classes and March 14th and 15th at 5:00 p.m. for evening classes
- LaFayette Center: March 14th at 9:00 a.m.
- Rossville Center: March 14th at 8:00 a.m. for day classes, March 14th and 15th at 6:00 p.m. for evening classes
- Davis Center: March 14th at 9:00 a.m.
- Dade County: March 14th at 8:00 a.m.
- South Campuses:
- GNTC’s Gordon County Campus: March 21st at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
- GNTC’s Polk County Campus: March 18th and 25th at 9:00 a.m. for day classes, April 4th at 1:30 p.m. for afternoon classes and April 4th at 12:30 p.m. for afternoon classes (Cedartown)
- Cedartown English Language program: April 6th at 5:30 p.m.
- GNTC’s Floyd County Campus: March 18th at 9:00 a.m. and March 21st at 5:00 p.m.
- Rome Language and Literacy Center: March 17th at 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
