All 17 graduates from Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s (GNTC) Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on their first attempt, achieving a 100% pass rate for the third consecutive year.

The NCLEX-RN is a standardized test used nationwide to verify nursing knowledge and competency. The exam tests general knowledge of health maintenance and disease progression, diagnostic procedures, and the ability to use clinical judgment to make decisions to ensure patient safety.

Lauren Elsberry, the Registered Nursing program administrator at GNTC, expressed pride in the students’ achievements. “A 100% NCLEX-RN pass rate is a testament to the dedication of our students, the expertise of our faculty, and the strength of our curriculum. The students’ hard work and determination have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder to celebrate this incredible achievement with them.”

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) aims to strengthen communities by ensuring students are ready to enter the workforce and are fully prepared to enter the nursing profession with the knowledge, skills, and compassion necessary to provide safe, high-quality patient care from day one.

The following ASN graduates earned their degree on April 24, 2025, and took the NCLEX-RN exam to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia: Amy Annoni, Morgan J. Bradford, Tiffany Alexis Dobson, Anetra Howard, Charity P. Howington, Melissa Hughes, Hope D. Jones, Chasity Evans Kiser, Adrian Lucky, Victoria H. McCallie, Savanna Halie Perkins, Kimberly Rivera, Stacie Lalissa Sheram, Patrick O. Simmons Jr., Autumn Ranae Simpson, Megan H. Wells, and Alexia Paige Young.

GNTC’s ASN program is housed on the Walker County Campus in Rock Spring.
