The National Institute for Metalworking Skills recently awarded accreditation to Georgia Northwestern Technical College Machine Tool Technology Program Director, Philip Shirley.

His program on the Walker County Campus is the ONLY one that is nationally-accredited in the state of Georgia.

An extensive two-day on-site evaluation of everything from curriculum to the knowledge of his students was on display for examination to see if the program deserved such honors and they passed with flying colors.
