Gordon Central held off a determined Trion team Friday night and took a 24-14 win to go to 3-0 on the season.

After stopping the Bulldogs on the opening drive of the second half, the Warriors took over on their own 30.

Trion had pulled to within three, 17-14, with 54 seconds left in the third quarter.

The Warrior defense and kept Trion bottled up in their own territory as the final seconds ticked off the clock at Ratner Stadium.

A jubilant homecoming crowd celebrated the Warriors’ first home victory in almost two years.

A number of big penalties kept the Trion hopes alive in the second half. Trion falls to 0-3.
