This morning, Governor Kemp announced water and sewer grant awards for communities across the State of Georgia. Two allotments of funds were awarded to communities and organizations in our four-county area, with over $21 million in funding received.

The awarded communities and organizations were:

· Walker County Water and Sewer Authority: $20,000,000

· City of Summerville: $1,147,812.50

A healthy water and sewer infrastructure network is crucial for improving the standard of living and general prosperity in our region. These funds will be a tremendous catalyst for growth”, said Sen.
