On Thursday of this week, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed Georgia Senate Bill 60 into law.  The new law updates the Georgia State Indemnification Fund.

The new law revises the Georgia provisions that say when indemnification will be paid in instances of a heart attack, stroke, or vascular rupture suffered by a public safety officer that result in certain disabilities or death.

The new law will provide benefits to firefighters and other public safety officers who suffer a heart attack or stroke and certain other conditions.
