Georgia Governor Nathan Deal was in Chattooga County on Friday visiting Hays State Prison.

The Governor, as well as other state officials, toured the prison to view changes made since new Warden Rick Jacobs took the helm on February 6.

Jacobs was brought in to quell violence at the prison after the murder of three inmates and stabbing of two correctional officers at the end of last year and beginning of 2013.
