GP Federal Credit Union will be opening up a new location in Summerville on Monday, March 4th at 9 AM. 

GP Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1935 as Georgia Power Rome Division Employees Credit Union, exclusively serving Georgia Power employees working in the Rome, Georgia area. In the late 90’s, they changed their name to Georgia Power Northwest Federal Credit Union and sought out addition Select Employee Groups.

Now known as GP Federal Credit Union, they currently serve over 45 Select Employee Groups whose employees are eligible to join, as well as individuals living in select areas of Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama. In addition, immediate family members of employees are eligible to join, even if the employee isn’t a member. This means we are not exclusively for Georgia Power employees.

The new location in Summerville will be located at 76 Georgia Avenue.  A ribbon cutting is scheduled for the new location on Monday morning.
