A Chattooga County Grand Jury found enough evidence to send to trial a LaFayette woman’s child molestation case.
Thirty-year-old Tori Burdick of Lafayette was arrested after Trion Police found evidence that she had engaged in sexual activities with a juvenile at a Trion motel.
Trion Police Investigator Dexter Blackmon told WZQZ News in October of this year, Walker County Sheriff’s Investigators notified Trion City Police about the case. Walker County officials had been talking with the male victim who was fourteen years-old at the time. The victim confirmed that on at least one occasion, he had sexual relationships with the woman at a motel in Trion.
Prosecutors presented evidence to the Chattooga County Grand Jury that included a video on the accused woman’s cell phone and also found a receipt where she had booked the motel room in Trion.
