A forty-two-year-old Summerville man was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol last week on charges of DUI after a traffic stop. 

Yesterday, WZQZ News obtained a report about the incident from State Troopers.

The report stated that last Wednesday, a state trooper stopped Auston Todd Kingsolver on Commerce Street at 9:45 AM because the trooper saw him driving while holding and talking on his cell phone.  Another trooper pulled up on the scene of the traffic stop and asked Kingsolver how much he had to drink.  Kingsolver admitted to drinking a twelve-pack the night before to around 1 AM.  According to the report, the trooper then asked Kingsolver if he drank that much all the time, and Kingsolver said “yeah, pretty much”.

Kingsolver was arrested on charges of DUI and violation of the Georgia Hands Free Law and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
