The Georgia State Patrol has released additional information regarding the series of wrecks that occurred last Saturday evening on Highway 27, near Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Road, at Magnolia Ridge. According to those reports there were three separate accidents resulting in several injuries.

The first wreck resulted in injuries to Ben Hannah and Stacy Hall when their vehicle left the roadway after coming into contact with another vehicle. They were taken from the scene to Redmond Regional Medical Center.

The second vehicle, occupied by Joseph Thompson and Angela Bowman reportedly struck a wheel in the roadway causing that wheel to travel into the northbound lane and hit another vehicle; neither Thompson or Bowman required treatment.

The third vehicle, after colliding with that wheel went out of control and hit another vehicle which resulted in two people being taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment with one of those being identified as Jimmy Carter.

Those accidents remain under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
