This past week, the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome released a report about the arrest of a Menlo man who was charged with driving under the influence on July 8th.
According to the report, twenty-eight-year-old Levi Michael Brown was stopped at a checkpoint on East Washington Street at Penn Street in Summerville. Brown tested positive to an alcohol-sensor reading. Troopers said, “While speaking with Mr. Brown, I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person, and his eyes were bloodshot and watery. Mr. Brown stated that he had been in Rome and only had two India Pale Ale beers.”
Brown refused the standard field sobriety test.
Brown was charged with DUI and transported to the Chattooga County Jail.
