The Coosa Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will begin accepting applications for home ownership starting today.  The chapter serves Chattooga, Floyd and Polk Counties.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational, Christian organization that believes all hard-working individuals and families should have access to the benefits and stability of home ownership. In this belief, Habitat is committed to partnering with local families who demonstrate a need for housing, the ability to pay, and a willingness to partner through fulfilling “sweat equity” hours.

The Coosa Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity says that those who are interested in home ownership can find applications online at https://www.habitatcoosavalley.org

Applications will be accepted from January 4, 2021 – February 26, 2021. The applications are offered in both English and Spanish.  Informational sessions for those interested in applying for the Habitat program will be offered for Chattooga, Floyd, and Polk counties. Please refer to the Habitat website at https://www.habitatcoosavalley.org for further details on dates and times per county.

Attendance is not required for the informational sessions but is highly encouraged. Due to social distancing measures, space will be limited, so call the Habitat office at 706-378-0030 to register today.
