The Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome released the weekly accident with injuries report on Wednesday afternoon. According to the report, last week on June 2 a twenty-one year old woman lost control of her vehicle and overturned on Hair Lake Road.
The report stated that Kayla Marie Warren of Summerville was driving west on Hair Lake Road around 10:45 in the morning when she veered into the other lane and overcorrected going off the roadway and striking an embankment and overturning the 2005 Nissan Sentra she was driving. The woman told officers that one of her children was crying and she turned around to tend to him when she veered into the opposite lane.
The woman and her two year old son, Zayden Warren, were both taken by Redmond EMS to a Rome hospital to be treated for non-lifethreatning injuries.
Warren was issued a citation by troopers for Failure to Maintain a Single Lane.
