The Summerville-Trion Optimist Club hosted their annual Halloween Walk in downtown Summerville on Saturday. The event was in conjunction with several other Halloween-themed events put on by Summerville Main Street – but there are more opportunities for Halloween fun in Chattooga County on Halloween night.
The City of Menlo will be hosting a Halloween Walk this Thursday. The event is sponsored by the Menlo City Council and will take place at Lawrence Park in Menlo from 5 PM until 7 PM.
Also, trick or treating will be taking place in Trion this coming Thursday evening. The Trion Police Department says that trick-or-treating will start at 5:30 PM. They issued a statement saying:
In order to ensure everyone’s safety, please utilize the crosswalk in front of the football field when entering the area and adhere to the instructions of those directing traffic. We ask that everyone be respectful of homeowners in the area, especially those who are not participating in the festivities. Please respect their privacy and refrain from disturbing their property. There will be a strict 9pm curfew that will be stringently enforced. We hope that everyone enjoys a safe and enjoyable Halloween Walk and we look forward to seeing you there.
Also, the Trion Boys Basketball Team will be hosting a Halloween Maze even at the Triangle / Sam R. McCain Stadium parking lot. The maze will be open from 6 PM to 10 PM, offering a fun and spooky experience for all ages with scare levels suitable for everyone. Entrance is $5, with food and snacks available for purchase. The event will benefit the Trion Boys Basketball team, helping them during the season. Don’t miss this chance to have Halloween fun and support the Trion Boys Basketball Team.
