The Georgia Department of Corrections continues to investigate the death of a Hays State Prison Inmate who was killed at the prison. 

Chattooga County Coroner Earl Rainwater confirmed that the inmate was stabbed to death in his cell and that the act was perpetrated by another prisoner, but the state has not released anymore information about the crime as of Friday afternoon.

Jorge Renberto Ventura, age 34, was serving a sentence for child molestation involving a thirteen-year-old girl he met on Facebook.

Joan Heath with the Georgia Department of Corrections says that the investigation is ongoing and they will not be releasing any more information until they have the results of that investigation.
