Chattooga County Resident, Jacqueline Hegwood has been named to the Presidents list at JSU.

To be named to the President’s List, a student must earn a perfect 4.0 GPA while attending full-time. Students earning a GPA of 3.5-3.99 while attending full-time are named to the Dean’s List of their respective schools. Jacqueline is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice on the Criminal Investigation track and minoring in Emergency Management. Hegwood was named to the President’s List at Jacksonville State University for outstanding academic performance during the Spring and Fall semesters of 2020, and the Deans’ List for spring and fall of 2019.
Jacqueline is also a member of the Honor Society and The National Society of Leadership and Sucess. In addition she has also completed seven FEMA certifications

Jacqueline also credits Eddie Henderson for her drive. She says: Watching him operate as our county’s Emergency Management Director was inspirational. My long term goal is to eventually serve a community with the skills that I have obtained and the passion I have for Emergency Management. Until then, I graduate in May of this year and plan to pursue my other goal in Criminal Investigations. As long as you have determination, the possibilities are endless.
