Hibbett Sporting Goods, Inc., the national sporting goods retailer based in Birmingham, Ala., will be opening at the end of October in the Summerville shopping center.

According to a press release, the store anticipates employing eight full and part-time team members. Currently Hibbett has 91 other locations in the state of Georgia.

Hibbett is a fast-growing operator of over 835 full-line sporting goods stores in small to mid-sized markets, predominantly in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
