Chattooga County-based business, High 5 Energy is hosting a toy drive this year to help benefit the longstanding program, Santa in Uniform.

Santa in Uniform takes underprivileged children shopping each holiday season, and this year is no different. High 5 Energy is heading up an online donation where you can donate any amount. On top of all donations raised, High 5 Energy will be donating $555.55 to the drive.

This isn’t the first time that High 5 Energy has made donations. In the years past they have also donated 500 smoke detectors to those in need. Owner Eric Mann, said this idea was born about from just simply being about to pay it forward. About 5 years have passed since the inception of High 5 Energy, and Mann has always wanted to pass along what he could. “I wanted to do something, because I can and High 5 Energy has made it were I could.”

The donations are coming in slowly, though the goal has not been met yet. High 5 Energy has raised $1,900 of its $5,000 goal with a good many of its donors coming from out of town. High 5 Energy participates in the local racing circuit and those involved there have really stepped up. The drive has reached people as far away as Ohio and South Carolina, who are happy to help out the effort.

While donations are preferred on the website, they can also be made in person at Judys Herb Shop or at Pamper Me Salon. Just let them know that you are donating to High 5 Energy Christmas Toy Drive. They will be collecting money until December 10th and 100% of what is donated is going to Santa in Uniform.
