It seems like everywhere you turn this year there are things that are in short supply. Experts say that a high demand for fireworks this year could lead to a shortage for backyard Fourth of July Celebrations.
Right now, most retail outlets are well-stocked in anticipation of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, but industry leaders say that you may want to buy your Fourth of July fireworks early because of slow supply chains that deliver the pyrotechnics.
With a return to public gatherings many areas are planning fireworks displays this year including LaFayette, Cedar Bluff, Alabama, Rome, Ringgold and Summerville.
Larger, professional fireworks displays such as the City of Summerville’s Celebrate Independence display won’t be affected as those fireworks are ordered well in advance of the event.
